CORPUS CHRISTI, TEX. --- The Tuloso-Midway boys and the McAllen-Rowe girls won team 4A-5A titles at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Cross County High School Invitational, Saturday morning at West Guth Park. 

Tuloso-Midway, which was led by Roberto Ramos' second place finish, won the combined 4A-5A boys title by 27 points over Carroll High. Premont finished third. Randy Salazar of Edinburg's Economedes High covered the
three-mile course in 16:01 to edge Ramos by one second. Carroll's Luis Gutierrez placed third.

Despite watching Tuloso-Midway's Yvonne and Yvette Rodriguez finished second and third respectively, McAllen Rowe claimed the 4A-5A girls team title by four points over Tuloso-Midway. LaPorte, led by individual champ Nicole Warren, placed third.

Premont and St. Joseph commanded the boys and girls 1-2-3A races respectively. Premont, who edged Falfurias by a mere four points, placed four of the race's top 10 runners. Jo Hanson led St. Joseph's title run with a fifth-place effort.
Robstown and Belton won the junior varsity boys and girls events.
